We've seen lots of blockbuster movies at the cinemas, and for me, this has to be the best one so far this year. It has just the right mix of comedy, light story and action. It has a good cast. I liked the funny characters that have small roles, like the Asian woman singing the Spider-Man theme song, the usher at the concert, and the newspaper boss.
I never understood why his web stopped working... must've had something to do with his identity crisis.

Sam Raimi's Spider-Man (played by Tobey Maguire) is probably the most three-dimensional hero ever created by Hollywood. Our angst ridden hero is starting to buckle from the heavy responsibilities and burden that is placed upon him, and is beginning to crave a normal life. His love life is suffering too, as his childhood sweetheart Mary-Jane has another more eligible suitor.
"Spider-Man 2" is probably one of the few entertaining and enjoyable movies so far this year. Other than the questionable motivations of Doc Ock, the special effects are believable, and not over the top. Highly recommended.
