This movie has plenty of characters from different fairly tales all mixed into one movie. There's a good old fashioned potions, and the movie has jokes all the way through it, although nothing stands out now that I think about it. Computer graphics were nice and the voice acting is great. I liked the huge ginger bread man. He reminds me of marshmallow man from Ghostbusters, and I can identify with crap froth and foam in my coffee too.

3 out of 5 stars.

The novelty of a green ogre and his talking donkey seems a little worn out in the second installment of "Shrek", so "Shrek 2" features creatures from all the other fairy tales -- such as the Gingerbread Man, Puss In Boots, Pinocchio, etc. However, I felt that "Shrek 2" contained too many references to pop culture, fairy tales and movies that it felt like a spoof. Unlike Pixar's other animations, "Shrek 2" would probably not stand the test of time, as the jokes would probably not be gotten by the next generation of kids.

Still, "Shrek 2" is entertaining and humorous enough for me -- and Antonio's Puss In Boots steals the show!
