Kids' story that I'd forgotten about. The story itself is fun adventure story, and I do remember the crocodile that ticks which is not unlike the Jurassic Park dinosaur with a satellite phone.
They way they did this movie is entertaining to watch for adults. There's the underlying theme of lost youth, growing up with responsibilities, and family.
It also tells you how to kill fairies, so if you bring your kid and he starts doing it, you know he's evil and needs punishment.
There's also a very naughty mangy bird, which is cool. The costumes are neat, backdrop looks half computer animated, and the colours are nicely contrasted, making it look slightly cartoonish.
4 out of 5 stars.

I wasn't so keen on watching "Peter Pan" as the Disney version and the Robin Williams version had left a bad taste in my memory. However I'm glad I did, as this movie is now one of my favorites.
I had expected "Peter Pan" to be a dim-witted childish kid flick with bad actors and bad lines; however, it was exactly the opposite. This film is highly enjoyable for both adults and kids alike, as the younger audiences will appreciate the theme about not wanting to grow up and will not pick up on the darker, adult undertones of the film. It is very rare to have a film appeal to such a wide age group.
As older viewers, we can sympathise with Captain Hook, as "Peter Pan" is a lamentation of our lost childhood, dreams and innocence and care-free life and a reminder of the responsibilities thrust upon us as we became adults. Both older and younger audiences alike will enjoy the wonderful characters, creatures and scenes in the film.
