This is a romantic comeday based on different peoples views on what love is. Set in England around Christmas time, we see the relationships of different people, and what love means to them.

This is a feel good movie, and the characters are all rather stereotypical. Avoid if you dislike this genre, especially English ones. 1.5 out of 5 stars.

"Love Actually" is jam-packed with stars, sugary goodness, and different relationship situations. It's a story about love -- love between father and son, husband and wives, prime ministers and their tea girl, rock stars and their managers, teenage boys and their first crush, best friends and their wives, a writer and his cleaning lady, office crushes, etc. Where there is love there is also betrayal, loss and rejection -- cheating spouses, death, jealousy, etc.

Like a buffet, "Love Actually" attempts to cover too many characters and stories, so we can only get a sample of every single dish, with no room to really concentrate on any particular one. There were also some side plots that we could do without.

Unfortunately Hugh Grant's charms don't exactly work on me, and Keira Knightley's pretty face didn't melt my heart. I can probably relate more to the aging rocker who knows he's a sellout but just plays along anyway. "Love Actually" might probably provide those who are down in luck in love with a bit of hope (they'll have to go to Milwaukee, though)!
