Before seeing the Hollywood movie version of The Grudge, we decided to rent the Jap version. Unfortunately this wasn't as scary as I hoped.

I liked the dead woman but thats about it. The boy wasn't scary at all. As for the story, I just don't get it. They introduced about 10 characters and deaths. Its not as simple as The Ring, and I was annoyed at the ending. It didn't resolve the story for me.

2 out of 5. I hope the Buffy version is scarier, and easier to understand.
