Very interesting story about a couple undergoing surgery to erase each other from their minds. The relationship between the characters is the main focus here, its romantic and realistic, and it has its ups and downs. Joel is played by Jim Carrey, and thankfully this movie is not a typical comedy from him. Throughout the film we get to see them together in various situations and stages of their relationship, often amusing, and this is a pleasure to watch. The story is a mixed up, but will fall into place towards the end of the movie. You're left wondering what would happen if you erased people from your own memory.
Nice romantic comedy. 4.5 out of 5 stars.

A thoroughly enjoyable and thought-provoking movie about love and memory, and probably my most favorite Charlie Kaufman film to date -- because it makes sense!
I had reservations about seeing this film because I thought Jim Carrey was only capable of rubbery-faced, attention-grabbing comedy, but was willing to give it a shot simply because it was a Kaufman film, and it also had an interesting cast. However, I was pleasantly surprised by Carrey's performance.
I don't want to reveal much more about this movie as it would spoil it too much. I highly recommend this film -- it will give you quite a bit to chew on, and inspire you for a long time.
