Black and white art house movie with conversations between people drinking coffee and smoking. Some well respected musicians feature in this, and are at times humorous. Take a look at the cast before you decide to watch this, otherwise its pretty boring. The conversations themselves didn't do it for me.
I love coffee but dislike smoking. One thing that worries me is coffee in America. It looks like they have the McDonald's style coffee pot in every cafe, instead of a single fresh cup.
2 out of 5 stars.

I found "Coffee and Cigarettes" to be an interesting and humorous (in a tongue-in-cheek way) collection of shorts that feeling well-known celebrities "playing themselves". There were a few interesting segments, especially the shorts featuring Alfred Mollina and Steve Coogan (a great insight into what goes on when celebrities "network"), Bill Murray, Steve Buscemi, and the meeting between Iggy Pop and Tom Waits.
Not recommended for people expecting plots and character development, "Coffee and Cigarettes" should probably be treated more like a coffee table "book".
